Elliot Cadeau is an American-Swedish basketball point guard currently playing for the Michigan Wolverines in the Big Ten Conference. Born on September 4, 2004, in Brooklyn, New York, he was raised in West Orange, New Jersey. Cadeau began his high school career at Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey, before transferring to Link Academy in Branson, Missouri, for his junior year. He was widely regarded as the top point guard in the class of 2024.
In May 2023, Cadeau reclassified to the class of 2023 and committed to the University of North Carolina. During his two seasons with the Tar Heels, he averaged 8.3 points, 5.1 assists, and 2.5 rebounds per game across 74 games. In his sophomore season, he averaged 9.4 points, 6.2 assists, and 2.9 rebounds per game, starting all 37 games. He also led the team with 150 assists, the most by a Tar Heel since 2018.
On March 25, 2025, Cadeau entered the transfer portal. Six days later, he announced his commitment to the Michigan Wolverines, where he will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Internationally, Cadeau represents Sweden. In April 2022, he became the first American high school athlete to sign an international NIL deal with Swedish company Vitamin Well. He also has endorsement deals with Roc Nation Sports, Leaf Trading Cards, Wilson Sporting Goods, and Swedish company Flowlife. Additionally, he has his own clothing line called Elliot Cadeau Wear.
