Kevin Porter Jr. is an American professional basketball player known for his scoring ability and playmaking skills. Born on May 4, 2000, in Seattle, Washington, Porter played one season of college basketball for the USC Trojans before declaring for the NBA Draft.
NBA Career:
Cleveland Cavaliers (2019–2021): Porter was selected 30th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2019 NBA Draft but was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers. He made his NBA debut on October 23, 2019, against the Orlando Magic. On April 30, 2021, Porter scored 50 points and recorded 11 assists in a win against the Milwaukee Bucks, becoming the youngest player in NBA history to achieve a 50-point, 10-assist game.
Houston Rockets (2021–2023): In January 2021, Porter was traded to the Houston Rockets. He had notable performances, including multiple triple-doubles. However, his tenure was marred by off-court issues, including a domestic violence arrest in September 2023, which led to his suspension and eventual trade to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
PAOK Thessaloniki (2024): Porter signed with Greek club PAOK Thessaloniki in April 2024. In six games, he averaged 22 points, 9.8 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 2.8 steals per game. He also recorded a triple-double against Panathinaikos, marking the first in Greek Basket League playoff history.
Los Angeles Clippers (2024–2025): In July 2024, Porter signed with the Los Angeles Clippers. He averaged 9.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists over 45 games.
Milwaukee Bucks (2025–Present): On February 6, 2025, Porter was traded back to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for MarJon Beauchamp. This move reunited Porter with the team that originally drafted him, offering a fresh start in his NBA career.
