Jarrett Stidham is an American football quarterback currently playing for the Denver Broncos in the NFL. Born on August 8, 1996, in Corbin, Kentucky, he moved to Stephenville, Texas, during his childhood. Stidham attended Stephenville High School, where he excelled as both a passer and a runner, throwing for 2,934 yards and 35 touchdowns, while rushing for 969 yards and 15 touchdowns in his senior year. He was recognized as a four-star recruit and initially committed to Texas Tech University before transferring to Baylor University.
In college, Stidham played for the Baylor Bears in 2015 before transferring to Auburn University, where he earned the SEC Newcomer of the Year award in 2017 and was named Second-team All-SEC. He also earned MVP honors in the 2018 Music City Bowl.
Stidham was selected by the New England Patriots in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He spent his first three seasons with the Patriots as a backup quarterback. In 2022, he signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, where he started two games, throwing for 496 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
In March 2023, Stidham signed a two-year contract with the Denver Broncos worth up to $12 million, with $7 million guaranteed. This move ensured continuity in the Broncos’ quarterback room after the impressive performance of rookie Bo Nix in the previous season.
