Marcus Smart, born on March 6, 1994, in Flower Mound, Texas, is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the Washington Wizards in the NBA. Standing 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 220 pounds, he primarily plays as a point guard or shooting guard. Smart began his college basketball career at Oklahoma State University before being selected by the Boston Celtics with the sixth overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.

During his tenure with the Celtics, Smart earned recognition for his defensive prowess, culminating in the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award for the 2021-2022 season.
