Klutch Sports Group is a prominent American sports agency founded in 2012 by Rich Paul, a close associate of NBA star LeBron James. The agency represents nearly 200 athletes across major sports, including the NBA, NFL, MLB, and WNBA. Klutch has expanded its reach with offices in Atlanta, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, and, as of mid-2024, Europe.
Rich Paul’s journey began in Cleveland, where he met LeBron James in 2002. This meeting led to a partnership that saw Paul leave the Creative Artists Agency in 2012 to establish Klutch Sports Group. Under Paul’s leadership, the agency has secured significant contracts, including a four-year, $153 million deal for James with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018.
In addition to basketball, Klutch Sports expanded into other sports, representing figures like NFL quarterback Baker Mayfield and MLB pitcher Trevor Bauer. The agency also ventured into soccer by acquiring Representatives Of Outstanding Footballers (ROOF), Germany’s largest soccer player agency, integrating it into Klutch Sports Group.
Klutch Sports continues to influence the sports industry, advocating for athletes’ interests and expanding its global presence.
