Savannah Guthrie is an Australian-born American broadcast journalist and attorney, best known as the co-anchor of NBC’s “Today” show since 2012.

Born on December 27, 1971, in Melbourne, Australia, she moved to Tucson, Arizona, at the age of two. Guthrie graduated cum laude from the University of Arizona in 1993 with a degree in journalism and earned her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 2002. She briefly practiced law before transitioning to journalism, joining NBC News in 2007 as a legal analyst and correspondent.

Over the years, she has held various roles, including White House correspondent and co-anchor of the third hour of “Today.” In addition to her broadcasting career, Guthrie has authored children’s books and is recognized for her engaging storytelling and interviews with prominent figures.
