Toumani Camara, born on May 8, 2000, in Brussels, Belgium, is a professional basketball player who plays as a power forward for the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA.

Early Life and Education

Raised in Brussels, Camara began playing basketball at a young age. At 16, he moved to the United States to attend Chaminade-Madonna College Preparatory School in Hollywood, Florida, to further his basketball career.

College Career

Camara played college basketball for the University of Georgia Bulldogs from 2019 to 2021, and later for the University of Dayton Flyers from 2021 to 2023. During his senior year at Dayton, he averaged 13.9 points and 8.6 rebounds per game, earning First-Team All-Atlantic 10 honors and a spot on the Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team.

Professional Career

In June 2023, Camara was selected by the Phoenix Suns as the 52nd overall pick in the NBA Draft, becoming only the second Belgian to be drafted into the NBA. He signed a four-year contract with the Suns in July 2023. Before the 2023–2024 season began, Camara was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers. In his rookie season with Portland, he played in 70 games, averaging 7.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.

International Play

Camara represented Belgium in the Division B EuroBasket U16 tournament in 2016, where he averaged 2.4 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.
