Andrew Wiggins is a Canadian professional basketball player currently playing as a small forward for the Miami Heat in the NBA. Born on February 23, 1995, in Toronto, Ontario, he stands 6 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 197 pounds. Wiggins began his college basketball career with the Kansas Jayhawks before declaring for the NBA draft.

He was selected first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014 but was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves before his rookie season.

After five and a half seasons with Minnesota, he joined the Golden State Warriors in 2020, where he won an NBA championship in 2022 and earned his first All-Star selection. In February 2025, Wiggins was traded to the Miami Heat as part of a multi-team deal that brought Jimmy Butler to the Warriors.

Since joining Miami, Wiggins has been a key contributor, averaging 17.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game, with a field goal percentage of 43.9%.

However, he has been dealing with a left lower leg contusion, which led to him being ruled out of the Heat’s game against the New York Knicks on March 17, 2025.

Despite the team’s recent struggles, including a seven-game losing streak, Wiggins remains optimistic about Miami’s prospects, expressing confidence that the team will turn things around.
