Jalen Hurts is an American professional football quarterback who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL. Born on August 7, 1998, in Houston, Texas, Hurts had a standout college career with the Alabama Crimson Tide and later the Oklahoma Sooners. He was selected by the Eagles in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
In the 2024 season, Hurts led the Eagles to a 40–22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, earning Super Bowl MVP honors. He completed 77% of his passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown, setting a Super Bowl record for rushing yards by a quarterback.
