The Saint Francis University Red Flash men’s basketball team, representing Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pennsylvania, recently concluded their 2024-2025 season with a dramatic appearance in the NCAA Tournament’s First Four. In their opening game on March 18, 2025, they faced Alabama State University and narrowly lost 70-68 in a thrilling finish.
The game was decided in the final moments when Alabama State’s Amarr Knox converted a full-court pass into a layup, securing the victory.
This marked Saint Francis’s first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1991, ending a 34-year absence.
Throughout the season, the Red Flash finished with an 8-8 record in the Northeast Conference, placing fourth, and an overall record of 16-18.
