Adam Wainwright is a former professional baseball pitcher who spent his entire 18-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career with the St. Louis Cardinals. Born on August 30, 1981, in Brunswick, Georgia, he was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the first round of the 2000 MLB Draft. After joining the Cardinals in 2003, Wainwright debuted in the majors in 2005 as a relief pitcher. He later transitioned to starting pitcher, becoming one of the league’s most reliable arms.
