Adou Thiero is a 6-foot-8-inch, 220-pound forward for the Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball team. Born on May 8, 2004, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he spent his high school years at Quaker Valley High School in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania. During his senior year, Thiero averaged 23.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 3.9 steals, and 2.3 blocks per game, leading his team to a 27-1 record and earning several honors, including the Pennsylvania Class 4A Player of the Year.
Thiero began his collegiate career with the Kentucky Wildcats, where he played for two seasons (2022–2024). In his sophomore year, he averaged 7.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, also totaling 27 blocks for the season.
After entering his name in the 2024 NBA draft and the NCAA transfer portal, Thiero transferred to the Arkansas Razorbacks in May 2024 to continue playing under Coach John Calipari.
In the 2024–2025 season, Thiero emerged as a key player for Arkansas. He led the team in scoring, averaging 15.6 points per game, and also contributed 6.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. His performance earned him a Player Efficiency Rating (PER) of 25.2 for the season.
However, Thiero has been dealing with injuries recently. He was sidelined for Arkansas’ NCAA tournament opener and remained out for the Round of 32 matchup against St. John’s. As of March 21, 2025, his status for upcoming games is uncertain, with no definitive timeline for his return.
