Alexander Acha, born Raúl Alexander Acha Johnson-Alemán on January 25, 1985, in Mexico City, is a Mexican singer-songwriter known for his Latin pop music. He is the son of Mexican pop singer Emmanuel and American pianist Madison Anne Johnson, who introduced him to music at an early age.
Acha began his formal music education at five, studying rhythm, percussion, singing, and solfège. He later attended the Berklee College of Music, further honing his musical talents.
In 2008, Acha released his debut album, “Voy,” which achieved gold status in Mexico. The album’s lead single, “Te Amo,” topped national radio charts for 16 consecutive weeks. His success earned him the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2009.
