Early Life and Education

Carter attended Buford High School in Georgia, where she played under coach Gene Durden. She was instrumental in leading the team to three consecutive Class 2A state championships from 2009 to 2011, earning accolades such as Georgia Sports Writers Association Player of the Year in 2010 and 2011. She committed to the University of Tennessee, joining the Lady Volunteers in 2012. ​

College Career

During her time at Tennessee, Carter made a significant impact on the court. In her senior season (2015–2016), she averaged 4.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. However, persistent injuries led to her retirement from basketball after that season.

Broadcasting Career
