Angel Reese, born on May 6, 2002, in Randallstown, Maryland, is a professional basketball player for the Chicago Sky in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). Standing 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds, she plays as a forward. Reese attended Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore, where she earned McDonald’s All-American honors in 2020 and was ranked as the second-best player in her class by ESPN.
She began her college career at the University of Maryland before transferring to Louisiana State University (LSU) for her junior and senior years. At LSU, she led the Tigers to their first national championship in 2023, earning the Most Outstanding Player award.
She also set the NCAA single-season record for double-doubles and the Southeastern Conference (SEC) single-season record for rebounds. In her senior year, Reese was named SEC Player of the Year and received multiple All-American honors. She was selected by the Chicago Sky with the seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
