As of March 2025, the University of Arkansas has experienced significant changes in its basketball programs.
Men’s Basketball:
In April 2024, Naismith Hall of Fame coach John Calipari was appointed as the head coach of the men’s basketball team. Calipari, who has led six teams to the Final Four, signed a five-year contract worth $7 million annually. In his first season, he guided the Razorbacks to the Sweet 16, defeating Rick Pitino’s St. John’s team 75-66 in the process.
Women’s Basketball:
On March 21, 2025, Arkansas introduced Kelsi Musick as the new head coach of the women’s basketball team. Musick previously coached the Oral Roberts Golden Eagles, leading them to postseason appearances in each of the past two seasons. She signed a five-year contract with Arkansas, earning $600,000 per year.
