The Arkansas State Red Wolves men’s basketball team has achieved significant milestones during the 2024–2025 season under the leadership of second-year head coach Bryan Hodgson. They secured the Sun Belt Conference tournament title, earning an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
In the NIT, the Red Wolves achieved a decisive 103-78 victory over Saint Louis in the first round, marking their 25th win of the season—a program record.
On the women’s side, the Arkansas State Red Wolves made their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament in 2025. They achieved this by upsetting James Madison in the Sun Belt Conference tournament final under the guidance of head coach Destinee Rogers, who became the university’s first Black female head coach.
Both teams’ performances have been historic, elevating Arkansas State University’s basketball programs on the national stage.
