Burns played college football at the University of Miami and was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first round (25th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.

  • Pittsburgh Steelers (2016–2019): Burns started his career with the Steelers, becoming a starting cornerback in his rookie season. He recorded three interceptions and 13 pass deflections in 2016.
