Ben Rice is an American professional baseball first baseman for the New York Yankees. Born on February 22, 1999, in Cohasset, Massachusetts, he attended Dartmouth College, where he played college baseball for the Dartmouth Big Green. The Yankees selected Rice in the 12th round of the 2021 MLB Draft.

Rice made his MLB debut with the Yankees on June 18, 2024. In his rookie season, he appeared in 65 games, batting .175 with seven home runs and 23 RBIs. His standout moment came on July 6, 2024, when he became the first rookie in Yankees history to hit three home runs in a single game against the Boston Red Sox.​

Heading into the 2025 season, Rice impressed during Spring Training, leading the team in home runs and adding 10 pounds of muscle to enhance his performance. Manager Aaron Boone confirmed that Rice secured a spot on the Yankees’ Opening Day roster. He started at designated hitter in the season opener against the Milwaukee Brewers on March 27, 2025. ​
