Ben VanSumeren is an American football player who plays as a linebacker and fullback for the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL. Born on May 5, 2000, in Bay City, Michigan, he attended Garber High School, excelling as a receiver and running back. He led Bay County in receiving three times, including setting a state record with 1,259 yards in his senior year.

Initially committed to Iowa, he later joined the University of Michigan, where he played fullback, rushing nine times for 20 yards and a touchdown in 2019. He transferred to Michigan State University, starting 10 of 11 games in his final year and recording 81 tackles.

VanSumeren signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2023. He contributed significantly on special teams and had an offensive role before a season-ending knee injury in November 2024. Despite this setback, he secured a one-year contract with the Eagles on March 12, 2025, and is expected to continue his role as a versatile special-teams player.

In February 2025, VanSumeren and the Eagles won Super Bowl LIX, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22.
