Akshay Bhatia is an American professional golfer who has gained attention for his impressive performances on the PGA Tour. Born on January 31, 2002, in Los Angeles, California, to parents Sonny and Renu Bhatia, he began playing golf after watching his older sister, Rhea, who plays on the golf team at Queens University in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Turning professional in 2019 at the age of 17, Bhatia quickly made his mark by earning Special Temporary Member status on the PGA Tour after a runner-up finish at the 2023 Puerto Rico Open. He secured his first PGA Tour victory at the Barracuda Championship in July 2023, winning in a playoff against Patrick Rodgers. In April 2024, Bhatia clinched his second PGA Tour title at the Valero Texas Open, overcoming a six-shot deficit to win in another playoff, this time against Denny McCarthy.

As of March 2025, Bhatia is co-leading The Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass, having made key equipment changes, including returning to his old Callaway Rogue ST driver.

His consistent performances have elevated him to the 31st position in the Official World Golf Ranking.
