Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell, born on December 18, 2001, in Los Angeles, California, is an American singer-songwriter known for her unique blend of pop, electropop, and indie sounds. She first gained attention in 2015 with her debut single “Ocean Eyes,” written and produced by her brother, Finneas O’Connell. This track led to her debut EP, Don’t Smile at Me (2017), which charted internationally.

Her debut studio album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (2019), debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200 and UK Albums Chart. The lead single, “Bad Guy,” became the first by an artist born in the 21st century to reach number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was certified Diamond by the RIAA. She won five Grammy Awards that year, including Record of the Year and Album of the Year.

In 2021, she released her second album, Happier Than Ever, which also received critical acclaim.
