Blake Snell is an American professional baseball pitcher currently playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers in Major League Baseball (MLB). Born on December 4, 1992, in Seattle, Washington, he attended Shorewood High School in Shoreline, where he excelled as a pitcher. The Tampa Bay Rays selected Snell in the first round of the 2011 MLB Draft, and he made his MLB debut with them in 2016.

Throughout his career, Snell has played for the Tampa Bay Rays, San Diego Padres, and San Francisco Giants. He achieved significant accolades, including winning the American League (AL) Cy Young Award in 2018 and 2023. In 2024, while with the Giants, he pitched a no-hitter against the Cincinnati Reds on August 2. ​

In November 2024, Snell signed a five-year, $182 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He made his debut as a Dodger on March 27, 2025, starting the home opener against the Detroit Tigers. In that game, he pitched five innings, allowing two earned runs and striking out two batters, contributing to the Dodgers’ 5-4 victory.

Off the field, Snell married his partner Haeley in January 2025. The couple welcomed their son, Kaedyn, in June 2024. Haeley is an entrepreneur who founded Goldilocks Charm Bar, a business specializing in mobile charm bracelet and necklace events.
