Brandon Murray is a 6-foot-5, 210-pound senior guard for the McNeese Cowboys men’s basketball team. Born in Germantown, Maryland, he has played for several universities during his collegiate career. Murray began at LSU, earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors in the 2021-22 season by averaging 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
He transferred to Georgetown for the 2022-23 season, leading the team with an average of 13.7 points per game and contributing 3.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. Murray also led the team with 38 steals that season.
In the 2024-25 season, Murray joined McNeese, where he averaged 7.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, shooting 50% from the field. He was instrumental in McNeese’s recent NCAA Tournament victory over Clemson, coming off the bench to score a team-high 21 points in a 69-67 win.
