Charles Gibson is an American television anchor and journalist, renowned for his extensive career with ABC News. Born on March 9, 1943, in Evanston, Illinois, Gibson graduated from Princeton University in 1965 with a degree in history.
He began his journalism career at RKO General and later joined ABC News in 1975, serving in various roles including White House correspondent and anchor of “World News Tonight” from 2006 to 2009.
In addition to his news anchoring, Gibson co-hosted “Good Morning America” from 1987 to 1998 and again from 1999 to 2006. He also moderated presidential debates and conducted significant interviews, such as the 2008 discussion with Sarah Palin.
