Early Life and Education
Sexton attended Pebblebrook High School in Mableton, Georgia, where he averaged 23 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. He was recognized as a five-star recruit and ranked as the No. 7 overall recruit and No. 2 point guard in the 2017 high school class.
He committed to the University of Alabama, where he played for the Crimson Tide during the 2017–2018 season. In his freshman year, he earned honors such as SEC Freshman of the Year and was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team.
Professional Career
Sexton was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 8th pick in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft. He played for the Cavaliers until the 2022 offseason, when he signed a four-year, $70.95 million contract with the Utah Jazz via a sign-and-trade agreement.
