The Columbia Lions women’s basketball team, representing Columbia University in New York City, has achieved significant milestones in recent years. Under the leadership of eighth-year head coach Megan Griffith, the team clinched its first Ivy League championship in the 2023–24 season with a 28–6 overall record and a 12–2 conference record.
In the 2024–25 season, the Lions continued their impressive performance, finishing with a 24–6 record and securing the Ivy League title. Their success earned them a spot in the NCAA Tournament, where they achieved their first-ever tournament victory by overcoming a 13-point deficit to defeat the University of Washington 63–60 in the First Four.
