​The Cornell Big Red men’s ice hockey team concluded their 2024-2025 season with a strong performance in the NCAA tournament. After securing the ECAC Championship by defeating Quinnipiac and Clarkson, Cornell advanced to the NCAA Regionals. In the Toledo Regional Semifinal on March 27, 2025, they edged out Michigan State with a 4-3 victory, highlighted by senior Sullivan Mack’s decisive goal in the final 10 seconds.

The following day, March 28, 2025, Cornell faced Boston University in the Regional Final. The game was tightly contested, with Cornell’s goals scored by senior Jack O’Leary and sophomore Ryan Walsh. Despite a valiant effort, including a remarkable 40-save performance by senior goaltender Ian Shane, Cornell fell 3-2 in overtime, ending their tournament run.

Throughout the season, Cornell showcased their resilience and skill, earning a 19-10 record and demonstrating their competitive spirit on the national stage.
