Danette Colbert is a New Orleans woman currently facing second-degree murder charges in connection with the death of Kansas City sports reporter Adan Manzano. Manzano was found dead in a Kenner hotel room during the Super Bowl festivities. Toxicology reports indicated a blood alcohol content of .232 and the presence of Xanax in his system.
Colbert was initially charged with property crimes after being found with Manzano’s cellphone and credit cards. Following further investigations, including toxicology results, the charges were upgraded to second-degree murder. A judge has denied bond for Colbert, citing her as “a danger to society.”
Additionally, Ricky White, an alleged accomplice linked to Colbert through correspondence, has been arrested in Hollywood, Florida. He remains in custody awaiting extradition to face charges related to the incident.
Public records reveal that Colbert has a lengthy criminal history, with investigators accusing her of drugging and robbing men in the past.
