David Blaine, born on April 4, 1973, in Brooklyn, New York, is a renowned American magician, mentalist, and endurance artist. He gained prominence with his 1997 television special, David Blaine: Street Magic, which showcased his innovative approach to close-up and street magic.

Beyond magic, Blaine is celebrated for his daring endurance feats. Notably, in 2008, he set a world record by holding his breath underwater for 17 minutes and 4 seconds. His other remarkable stunts include being buried alive, encased in ice, and suspended in a glass box above the Thames River.

In 2025, Blaine launched a six-part documentary series titled David Blaine: Do Not Attempt, where he travels globally to learn from and participate in extraordinary feats performed by local masters. The series premiered on National Geographic on March 23, 2025, and is available for streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.
