David Brinson, 54, is a convicted murderer serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for the 1990 execution-style killings of four men during a robbery in Los Angeles County. In November 2024, during an unsupervised conjugal visit at Mule Creek State Prison in Ione, California, Brinson’s 62-year-old wife, Stephanie Dowells (also known as Stephanie Brinson), was found dead.
Brinson initially claimed she had passed out, but an autopsy later determined she had been strangled. As of March 2025, Brinson has not been charged in connection with his wife’s death, pending further investigation.
