Dee Jay Daniels, born Dorjan Lyndell Daniels on October 17, 1988, in Montclair, California, is an American former television actor and current musician. He gained prominence for his role as Michael Hughley, the son of D.L. Hughley’s character, in the sitcom “The Hughleys” from 1998 to 2002. Daniels also appeared in other television series such as “In the House,” “Coach,” “The Wayans Bros.,” “Grace Under Fire,” and “Cold Case.” Additionally, he had a supporting role as Ethan in the 2005 Disney film “Sky High.” ​

In 2011, Daniels faced legal issues when he was arrested for the stabbing death of John Joseph “J.J.” Lewis outside a bar in Stockton, California. After a trial, he was acquitted of all charges in December 2012. ​
