Stefon Diggs, a four-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, has signed a three-year, $69 million contract with the New England Patriots, which includes $26 million in guaranteed money. Diggs, 31, suffered a season-ending ACL injury in October 2024 while playing for the Houston Texans but is expected to be ready for the upcoming season.
This signing addresses the Patriots’ need for a top-tier wide receiver to support second-year quarterback Drake Maye. Diggs brings extensive experience, having previously played for the Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, and Houston Texans, and has achieved six consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons from 2018 to 2023.
The Patriots’ 2024 season concluded with a 23-16 victory over the Buffalo Bills on January 5, 2025. With Diggs’ arrival, the team aims to strengthen its passing game in the upcoming 2025 season.
