Donte DiVincenzo is an American professional basketball player currently playing as a shooting guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA. Born on January 31, 1997, in Newark, Delaware, he began his basketball journey at Salesianum School in Wilmington, where he led his team to consecutive state championships. In his senior year, he averaged 22.9 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game, earning Delaware Sportswriters and Broadcasters Association’s Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year honors in 2015.
DiVincenzo played college basketball for the Villanova Wildcats, contributing to national championships in 2016 and 2018. He was named the NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player in 2018, notably scoring 31 points in the championship game.
In the 2018 NBA Draft, DiVincenzo was selected 17th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks. He won an NBA championship with the Bucks in 2021. Over his career, he has also played for the Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, and New York Knicks. With the Knicks, he set franchise records by making 11 three-pointers in a single game and 283 three-pointers in a season.
In September 2024, DiVincenzo was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves as part of a deal that sent Karl-Anthony Towns to the Knicks.
