Dylan Cardwell is a senior center for the Auburn Tigers men’s basketball team, standing 6 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 255 pounds. Born on December 16, 2001, in Augusta, Georgia, he attended Oak Hill Academy before transferring to McEachern High School for his senior year. Rated as a three-star recruit, Cardwell committed to Auburn over other schools such as Georgia, Tennessee, Miami, Maryland, and UConn. ​

Throughout his college career, Cardwell has been a valuable asset to the Tigers. As a freshman in 2020-21, he averaged 3.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. In the 2021-22 season, he appeared in all 34 games, averaging three points and three rebounds. The 2022-23 season saw him average 3.7 points and 3.8 rebounds in 32 appearances.

In the 2023-24 season, he averaged 5.3 points, 1.6 blocks, and 1.2 assists in 14.7 minutes per game. Notably, on March 1, 2025, Cardwell became the all-time winningest player in Auburn men’s basketball history, achieving his 115th win in a game against Kentucky. ​

Beyond his on-court contributions, Cardwell has been recognized for his academic and community service efforts. He is a two-time recipient of the CSC Academic All-District Team honor and has been named to the NABC Honors Court twice. In 2021-22, he was part of the SEC Community Service Team and has earned spots on the SEC Academic Honor Roll multiple times. ​
