Epic Universe is an upcoming theme park being developed by Universal Orlando Resort, scheduled to open on May 22, 2025. It will expand Universal’s Florida presence alongside existing parks like Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, and Volcano Bay.
The park is designed with a hub-and-spoke layout, featuring four distinct themed lands branching off from a central area known as Celestial Park. These lands are:
- Super Nintendo World: An immersive area bringing Nintendo’s iconic franchises to life, with attractions like Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge and Yoshi’s Adventure.
- Dark Universe: A reimagined experience of Universal’s Classic Monsters, set in Darkmoor Village, featuring rides such as Curse of the Werewolf and Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment.
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: Ministry of Magic: A magical realm inspired by the “Fantastic Beasts” series, offering attractions like Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry and interactive experiences in the Cirque Arcanus.
- How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk: An area based on the “How to Train Your Dragon” franchise, featuring attractions like Hiccup’s Wing Gliders, Dragon Racer’s Rally, and Fyre Drill.
At the heart of the park, Celestial Park will serve as a central hub connecting these lands. It will feature the Constellation Carousel, a celestial-themed carousel, and Stardust Racers, a dual-launch roller coaster. Dining options will include The Atlantic, an underwater-themed seafood restaurant, and the Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant.
Additionally, guests can stay at the luxury Helios Grand Hotel, located within Celestial Park. The hotel will offer amenities such as a private park entrance, a large pool, and a rooftop lounge.
Tickets for Epic Universe went on sale on October 22, 2024, with three-day passes ranging from $352 to $521. Annual Passholders had the opportunity to purchase single-day tickets starting October 24, 2024.
