Todd Golden is the head coach of the Florida Gators men’s basketball team. He was appointed as the 20th head coach on March 18, 2022, following a successful tenure at the University of San Francisco, where he led the Dons to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1998.
In his third season with Florida, Coach Golden has achieved significant success. The Gators finished the regular season with a 27–4 record, securing a second-place finish in the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They earned a No. 3 seed in the NCAA Tournament and recently advanced to the Final Four by overcoming a nine-point deficit in the West Region final against Texas Tech, with Walter Clayton Jr. contributing 30 points.
In January 2025, the University of Florida concluded a Title IX investigation into Coach Golden, finding no evidence of violations.
