Jeff Arevalo, who joined the Connecticut-based jam band Goose in 2020, has permanently departed from the group. The band announced today that his departure results from personal behavior that does not align with Goose’s core values. They emphasized their commitment to maintaining a respectful and safe environment for their community.
Prior to this, in February 2025, Arevalo had taken a hiatus from touring to focus on his mental health and personal issues. He expressed the need to reset and prioritize his well-being to continue giving his best to loved ones, the band, and fans.
Arevalo’s departure follows other significant lineup changes within Goose, including the exit of founding drummer Ben Atkind in December 2023 and the subsequent addition of drummer Cotter Ellis in February 2024.
Despite these changes, Goose continues to move forward, with upcoming performances scheduled, including a headlining show at Madison Square Garden on June 28, 2025.
