In Portland, Oregon, a “Hands Off! Portland Fights Back” event is planned, co-hosted by Rose City Indivisible and 50501 Portland. Participants are encouraged to join and express their opposition to the perceived overreach of Trump and Musk.
The “Hands Off!” movement, also known as the 50501 movement, has previously organized nationwide demonstrations, including those on February 5 and March 4, 2025, with participants gathering at state capitals and major cities across the U.S. The upcoming April 5 protests are expected to be the largest, with events planned from Alaska to Hawaii and from Northern Maine to Southeast Florida.
These demonstrations reflect widespread dissatisfaction with the current administration’s policies and actions, aiming to protect democratic institutions and prevent perceived overreach by powerful individuals and entities.
