harvard free tuition

Harvard University has significantly expanded its financial aid program, making its education more accessible to a broader range of students. Starting in the 2025-26 academic year, Harvard will offer free tuition to undergraduate students from families earning up to $200,000 annually.

Additionally, students from families earning $100,000 or less will receive comprehensive support covering tuition, housing, meals, health insurance, travel costs, and a $2,000 start-up grant in their first year, as well as a $2,000 launch grant during their junior year.

This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden of attending Harvard, ensuring that admitted students can afford their education without incurring debt. Harvard estimates that approximately 86% of U.S. families will qualify for financial aid under this new policy.

These changes build upon Harvard’s longstanding commitment to meeting 100% of demonstrated financial need for all students, reinforcing its goal to attract talented individuals regardless of their financial background.
