Holger Rune is a Danish professional tennis player born on April 29, 2003, in Gentofte, Denmark. As of February 24, 2025, he is ranked World No. 13 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
Rune turned professional in 2020 and has since achieved significant milestones in his career. He reached a career-high singles ranking of World No. 4 on August 21, 2023, making him the highest-ranked male Danish player in ATP history. Throughout his career, he has secured four ATP Tour singles titles, including a Masters 1000 title at the 2022 Paris Masters.
In 2025, Rune has continued his impressive form. At the Indian Wells tournament, he reached the final by defeating Daniil Medvedev 7-5, 6-4 in the semifinals, marking his first Masters 1000 final since 2023.
He is set to face Britain’s Jack Draper in the final, following Draper’s victory over Carlos Alcaraz in the other semifinal.
