The 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), the 18th edition of India’s premier Twenty20 cricket tournament, is set to begin on March 22, 2025, and conclude on May 25, 2025. The opening match will feature the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), facing the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
This season will see 10 teams competing across 74 matches held in 13 venues. Notably, Eden Gardens will also host the final on May 25, marking its third time as the venue for the IPL final.
The teams are divided into two groups:
Group A:

- Rajasthan Royals
- Royal Challengers Bangalore
- Punjab Kings
Group B:
- Mumbai Indians
- Sunrisers Hyderabad
- Gujarat Titans
- Delhi Capitals
- Lucknow Super Giants
Each team will play 14 matches during the group stage. The top four teams based on points will advance to the playoffs, culminating in the final at Eden Gardens.
