Isaiah Joe is an American professional basketball player who plays as a shooting guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA. Born on July 2, 1999, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, he stands 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 165 pounds.
Early Life and Education
Joe attended Northside High School in Fort Smith, where he averaged 22.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.9 steals per game in his senior year. His performance earned him the Gatorade Arkansas Boys Basketball Player of the Year and the State Player of the Year honors from USA Today. He also led his team to the state championship game.
He played college basketball for the Arkansas Razorbacks from 2018 to 2020. Over his two seasons, he averaged 15.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game, shooting 39% from the field and 38% from three-point range.
Professional Career
Joe was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers as the 49th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. He debuted on December 27, 2020, and played two seasons with Philadelphia, primarily as a reserve. In July 2022, he signed with the Oklahoma City Thunder. During the 2023–2024 season, Joe averaged 9.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, shooting 43.6% from the field.
On January 10, 2025, Joe scored a season-high 31 points in a win against the New York Knicks, making eight three-pointers. He has been a key contributor off the bench for the Thunder, known for his sharpshooting and scoring ability.
Personal Life
Isaiah’s brother, Jacob, plays college basketball for the Newman Jets. In 2024, Isaiah hosted a “Shooters Shoot” youth training camp in Fort Smith, Arkansas, attracting over 200 participants.
