The Ivy League Basketball Tournaments, known as “Ivy Madness,” took place on March 15 and 16, 2025, at the Pizzitola Sports Center on Brown University’s campus in Providence, Rhode Island. The tournaments featured both men’s and women’s basketball teams competing for automatic bids to the NCAA Tournaments.
Men’s Tournament:
- Semifinals (March 15):
- Game 1: Yale (No. 1 seed) narrowly defeated Princeton (No. 4 seed) with a score of 59-57. John Poulakidas led Yale with 13 points.
- Game 2: Cornell (No. 2 seed) overcame Dartmouth (No. 3 seed) with a score of 87-71.
- Championship Game (March 16):
- Yale faced Cornell in the championship game.
Women’s Tournament:
- Semifinals (March 15):
- Game 1: Columbia (No. 1 seed) advanced to the championship game after a close win over Penn.
- Game 2: Harvard (No. 3 seed) defeated Princeton (No. 2 seed) by three points, securing their spot in the championship.
- Championship Game (March 15):
- Harvard clinched the women’s tournament title by defeating Columbia 74-71, earning the Ivy League’s automatic bid to the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. Harmoni Turner led Harvard with 24 points.
