Jack Doohan is an Australian racing driver born on January 20, 2003, in Gold Coast, Queensland. He is the son of five-time Grand Prix motorcycle world champion Mick Doohan. Jack began kart racing at the age of nine, securing multiple national titles as he progressed through various junior formulae, including the F4 British Championship and the FIA Formula 3 Championship.
In 2022, Doohan joined the Alpine Academy, making his Formula One debut at the 2024 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix as a replacement for Esteban Ocon. He was promoted to a full-time seat with Alpine in 2025, partnering with Pierre Gasly. However, his position has been under scrutiny, with reports suggesting that fellow Alpine reserve driver Franco Colapinto is being considered as a potential replacement if Doohan’s performance does not meet expectations.
At the 2025 Australian Grand Prix, Doohan’s race ended abruptly as he crashed out less than a lap into the race, highlighting the challenges he faces in securing his place within the team.
