Jack McGlynn, born on July 7, 2003, in Middle Village, New York, is an American professional soccer midfielder currently playing for Houston Dynamo FC in Major League Soccer (MLS). He began his career with BW Gottschee Academy in New York City before joining the Philadelphia Union’s youth academy in 2019. McGlynn made his professional debut with Philadelphia Union II in 2020, scoring five goals in fourteen appearances.
He signed with the Philadelphia Union in 2021, amassing 99 MLS appearances and contributing seven goals and 15 assists over four seasons. In February 2025, McGlynn transferred to Houston Dynamo FC for a $2.1 million fee, marking the first cash-for-player trade involving a homegrown player in MLS history.
Internationally, McGlynn has represented the United States across various age levels, including the U16, U20, and U23 teams. He made his senior national team debut in January 2024, scoring a goal in his first appearance.
In March 2025, he was added to the U.S. Men’s National Team roster for the Concacaf Nations League, replacing injured players.
