Jack Quaid is an American actor born on April 24, 1992, in Los Angeles, California. He is the son of actors Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid, and the nephew of actor Randy Quaid. Quaid began his acting career in 2011 with a minor role in The Hunger Games (2012), portraying Marvel, a tribute from District 1. He gained prominence for his role as Hughie Campbell in the Amazon Prime Video series The Boys (2019–present), a satirical take on the superhero genre.
In addition to The Boys, Quaid has contributed his voice to animated series such as Ensign Brad Boimler in Star Trek: Lower Decks (2020–2024) and Superman in My Adventures with Superman (2023–present). His film appearances include roles in Logan Lucky (2017), Scream (2022), and Oppenheimer (2023), where he portrayed physicist Richard Feynman.
Quaid’s upcoming film, Novocaine, is set to release on March 14, 2025. He stars as Nathan Caine, a bank executive with congenital insensitivity to pain, who uses his condition as a superpower to rescue a kidnapped co-worker. To promote the film, Quaid humorously appeared at an NBA game with progressively more exaggerated injuries, reflecting his character’s unique trait.
