Jaden Akins is a senior guard for the Michigan State Spartans men’s basketball team, standing 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 195 pounds. Born on February 25, 2003, in Farmington, Michigan, he attended Farmington High School, Ypsi Prep Academy, and Sunrise Christian Academy during his high school career. Akins was a four-star recruit and chose Michigan State over offers from schools such as Iowa, Missouri, Xavier, Georgia Tech, Michigan, and Mississippi State.

In the 2024-2025 season, Akins averaged 12.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, with a field goal percentage of 40.0%.
