Jaleel White, born on November 27, 1976, in Pasadena, California, is an American actor, producer, and writer. He gained prominence for his role as Steve Urkel on the sitcom “Family Matters” (1989–1998), a character initially intended for a single appearance but who became central to the series due to White’s compelling performance.
Beyond “Family Matters,” White provided the voice for Sonic the Hedgehog in the animated series “Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog” (1993) and its sequel “Sonic the Hedgehog” (1993–1994). He also appeared in various other television shows, including “Full House” (1991) and “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” (1995).
