Jamal Murray, born on February 23, 1997, in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, is a professional basketball player who plays as a point guard for the Denver Nuggets in the NBA. He played one season of college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats before being selected by the Nuggets as the seventh overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.
Murray has represented Canada in international competitions, including the FIBA Americas Under-16 Championship in 2013, where he averaged 17 points per game, and the 2015 Pan American Games, contributing to a silver medal finish.
